Posted July 25, 2023. Hello. I am new here but I have a 2016 focus with the 1.0l ecoboost with 127,000 miles. Today the car started idling extremely rough but allowed me to get it the 4 miles back home and only presented a slight amount of surging and stuttering while in gear and driving. Once home and in the driveway the motor started shaking

All of the engines are highly rated, but the star of the show is the turbocharged 1.0-litre Ecoboost unit, which is available with different power ratings. Bear in mind though, that there have been reports of Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost problems though, so check frequently to make sure coolant and hoses are in good order.
I have a 2019 Ford Focus 1.0 ecoboost which has now done 5128 miles. Last week the warning that you illustrated came on. At first I thought it was a mistake as i was unaware that the car was fitted with one as when i traded in my old diesel Focus because of the DPF issues which i told the salesperson(a main Ford dealer) about he agreed they were a problem but no mention of my new petrol car
